Located in Pangyo, one of Korea’s most successful new-town developments and a leading technology district, Hyatt Place Seoul Pangyo was designed around the idea of ‘The Pangyo Contrast.’

Pangyo is a city of contrasts. A planned urban environment shaped by IT and bio-tech industries, yet closely connected to residential life, green networks, and contemporary lifestyle culture. Rather than treating these qualities separately, the design brings them together into a hospitality experience that feels efficient, relaxed, refined, and approachable.

The project interprets the Hyatt Place brand through the local character of Pangyo. The buffet restaurant, The Kitchen, introduces a warm and expressive atmosphere, balancing bold material gestures with elegant spatial composition. Event spaces, including the pre-function zone, banquet hall, and event rooms, are designed with a more refined and welcoming tone, while the fitness area reflects a sense of linear direction and movement.

Across the project, materiality plays an important role in connecting different programs into a coherent experience. Stone, metal, wood, fabric, mirror, and textured panels are layered with restraint, creating spaces that feel contemporary without becoming excessive.

Through this approach, Hyatt Place Seoul Pangyo becomes more than a hotel. It is a place where work, travel, dining, gathering, and rest can coexist naturally, reflecting the evolving lifestyle of Pangyo and its users.
